How long does it take to make a custom order?
Custom orders generally take 1-3 weeks to complete, depending on the intricacy of the design.
Where do you get your trays?
All trays are ordered from West Elm and Russell+Hazel. The lacquer trays are made with engineered wood and have a lacquered finish. The acrylic trays are made of high-gauge acrylic so they’re equal parts sturdy and stylish. After mosaicking, each tray is sealed by covering the design with a clear durable resin.
How heavy are the trays?
12×12 trays are 1-2 pounds, depending on the type of tesserae used and whether the tray is acrylic or lacquered wood. 14×18 trays range in weight from 2-3.5 pounds.
Can trays be washed in the dishwasher?
No. All trays should be washed using dish soap and water and dried immediately to prevent spotting.
Do I need to send an exact photo of a tray that I want created?
No. It is helpful for you to have a color scheme or a general design idea in mind. However, you can say, “I want a tray that is blue and green, abstract and that will fit into my beach house decor.” We can take it from there.
Can I see the sketch of the tray before you begin the mosaic process?
Absolutely. You will approve the design before any glass is cut.
